To Stay Behind
If the choice is left to you,
Would you run away?
Knowing that you would be safe?
Knowing that your family would be safe?
Why are the choices so limited?
Why are the choices so unapparent?
How can we not guarantee their safety?
How can we not take them when we created the conditions of their death?
I fear deeply the conveniences of our culture.
The penetrations of stimulation.
The overwhelming atrocity of despair.
A world commanded from lines of trauma.
I see tears screaming from the cliffs,
Nearly boiling, now faint, now faded.
Why should we only feel a little,
When I just want to feel a lot?
The least complex simplicities,
Are guarded by truths against the truth;
And in defense of rarely shifting chalk lines,
The system never gets to form.

Why is it so frowned upon to have the capacity to both serve yourself and others?
We are of a new age.
Oh multiplying capacities,
Take my hand.
I am doing the work to make it free.
